Originally form Japan while growin up in Taiwan, Kohei (pronounced koh-hey) comes from a largely multicultural background that influences every aspect of his life.
Kohei has always surrounded himself in art, but it was only when he received a horrible tattoo that he found his way into tattooing. While searching for higher quality tattoos, Kohei discovered Horiyen (Jess), and greatly admired his work. From that point on, Kohei decided to put his life into tattooing, later becoming Jess' godbrother.
Kohei is a made artist for two years now, having passed through immensely difficult training and probation. He is recognized as a Second Generation Artist of the Horiyen Family, and has been tattooed with the Horiyen Family emblem.
In addition to over a decade of experience in ceramics, Kohei is also My Tattoo's webmaster and graphic designer. As every culture has its good and bad points, Kohei exemplifies the best of traditional Japanese culture--careful, meticulous, courteous, and respectful. Any skin that is touched by Kohei will result in the most precise, clean and perfect tattoos. In addition, Kohei's trilingual abilities allow him to translate any Kanji from Chinese and Japanese to English.
Kohei works both through appointment and walk-in. Come to the shop or give him a call when you want beautifully accurate tattoos.
